Nothing is harder

then having to make a sympathy card.
Our wonderful Christian neighbor Don, went home to the Lord this past Saturday.
We are going to miss his happy smiling face and his 10 green thumbs.
He could get anything to grow and kept the most beautiful yard.
He was always bringing me cuttings and showing me how to keep them alive in spite of my 10 brown thumbs!

The sentiment is on the inside and reads:
The Lord is my strength & my shield.....
my heart trusts in Him & I am helped.
Psalm 28:7

I loosely followed the new sketch on Skipping Stones :)

Your card is beautiful.

Beautiful card!

I am so sorry for your loss, my sweet friend. I KNOW how hard sympathy cards can be when we HAVE to make them, but isn't it amazing that as a crafty/talented girl, like yourself, it gives you a project you can ACTUALLY do, for the family! We always ask folks "what can I do?" or "I'm here for you! Just let me know what you need?" and so rarely, is there a specific thing, besides love and prayer! So, when you make a card like this, it's simply MORE of a treasure... THIS would, definitely make my heart feel a little lighter! {*Swoon!*}
